Customs declaration in Hebei province integrated with Tianjin, Beijing-fence post, fence, wire mesh

Starting Monday, Hebei province joins the cities of Beijing and Tianjin to integrate customs clearance requirements. Imports and exports would only need the go-ahead from one customs office in the region, making foreign trade easier around the Beijing area.

Cheaper and easier customs clearing, that’s what companies in Hebei province are set to gain, as local customs office joins its counterparts from Beijing and Tianjin, to integrate customs declaration. Officials from the capital city of Hebei province say this move would improve operational efficiencies.

Hebei’s move come after the joint efforts by Beijing and Tianjin authorities launched in July, when local customs offices started to recognize their counterparts’ declaration to simplify the process for conducting trade.

Analysts say the change would especially help trade companies based far from ports, this saves them time and money when declaring their goods. The policy convenience is part of the integration of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, three neighboring provincial areas. Aside from the one-for-all benefit, the joint efforts would also save time for custom staff and make custom checking process more efficient.
